Your lover isn't attentive unless someone else wants you. You have an admirer you don't like as much. Do you encourage the rivalry? Interestingly enough, this happened last year. Not the encouraging the rivalry, but a sudden burst of interest from Jim because he thought I was into another guy. So, a month or so ago, when things were lagging again, I thought about trying to make him jealous. (shrug) If you have to manipulate someone to show you a lil TLC, then something is wrong and jealousy certainly won't fix it. Excavating for your new house, you discoer priceless artifacts from an ancient Indian village. If your property becomes a dig, constrctoin will be delayed. Do you keep quiet? Probably. I'm selfish that way. ;) At a casino, you develop a rapport with the blackjack dealer. You give generous tips and s/he gives you an edge. Do you let the arrangment continue? Sure, why not. Who is it hurting? Certainly not me, and not this dealer.
It was about 4:30 when the power went out. I wondered if Suz was behind this....anyway, after sitting on my bed for what seemed like 10 minutes (but was probably 3) I called my mom. "The power is out," I whined to her. "So?" was her response, which I should have expected because my mother is not the pitying kind. She suggested I call the electric company, and I did. Their response was that someone was working on it, and it would be about a half an hour. Fuck that. Realizing how pathetic my life was without TV or the computer, I hopped into the car to go to Barnes and Noble, which had been my plan for the day before I made plans with V. I was GOING to read Shopaholic Ties the Knot, but in what seemed like a little twist of fate, it was on a table right next to this book. I looked at the apple on the cover, which still symbolizes teacher to me, and picked it up. Read the back. Then proceeded to sit and read the whole thing. It was good. Not terribly predictable, and before I knew it, two hours had passed so I headed back home. :) PS Check out my auctions please. Lots of interesting stuff, and more to come. :)
